A major topic is the collaboration between multiple simultaneous interacting people. However, most systems suffer from the problem that a distinction of different users is not possible. Hence, in this paper the authors present a work in progress approach of combining various existing technologies in order to enable personalized authenticated tangible interactions on a tabletop. Therefore, authentication using Radio-Frequency Identification in combination with depth- sensing cameras is used. We demonstrate the feasibility of the approach, the multiple advantages for interaction and give an outlook on further activities and lessons learned.
